Contract of Adhesion
A standard-form contract offered on a take-it-or-leave-it basis.
Adhesion establishes a minimum degree of procedural unconscionability in most states but does not by itself invalidate anything — nearly every consumer contract is adhesive. Its significance is as a multiplier: on the sliding scale, an adhesive contract lowers the quantum of substantive one-sidedness required to make a term unenforceable.
