Filing Fee
The fee payable to a provider to commence an arbitration.
In consumer arbitration the claimant's share is capped at a nominal amount and the drafting business bears the balance — a structure originally designed as a consumer protection. Multiplied across a large inventory, that same structure produces the fee exposure that makes mass arbitration work as leverage.
