Census Registry
An early MDL mechanism capturing basic information about every claim, filed or unfiled.
A registry gives the court and the parties an accurate picture of the true size and composition of an inventory — including unfiled claims held by counsel — before leadership structures and settlement frameworks are built on assumptions about scale. It has become standard practice in large modern MDLs.
