Tolling Agreement
A contract suspending the limitations period while claims are evaluated outside litigation.
Tolling agreements let parties hold unfiled claims in abeyance — supporting census registries and pre-suit settlement discussions without a defensive filing wave. They are the negotiated analogue of the tolling provisions that batching clauses must contain to be defensible.
