Section 524(g) Trust
A bankruptcy trust that assumes asbestos liabilities under a channelling injunction.
Section 524(g) of the Bankruptcy Code permits a reorganised debtor to channel present and future asbestos claims into a trust, with an injunction protecting the debtor from further suit. It is the template every subsequent mass tort bankruptcy resolution has been measured against.
