Coordinated Counsel
The same firm, or firms acting in concert, representing the claimant population in a mass filing.
Provider rules and contractual triggers key off representation rather than claim similarity alone: demands count toward a mass threshold where claimants are represented by the same or coordinated counsel. The definition matters, because it determines whether an inventory can be split across firms to avoid a threshold — and whether such splitting is legitimate structuring or evasion.
